This Diapason timeless and iconic design has been continuously updated since the first model was introduced into the market, back in 1989: the characteristic multi-faceted shape – reminiscent of a diamond – hence the inspiration for the name of this creation, Adamantes, is designed for optimal management of cabinet diffractions, allowing for a coherent sound dispersion pattern and for the recreation of a 3D soundstage. Those speakers disappear from the listener’s perception, providing the sense of instruments and voices exact position during the performance and the feeling that it is almost possible to ‘touch’ them. It’s about extracting the deepest emotions from your favourite music reproduction. The ‘Monitor’ version takes advantage of a thoroughly designed x-over network which drastically reduces the overall distortions.

A MASTERPIECE
The cabinet has been carefully designed, dimensioned and tuned, maximizing the extension in the lowest frequencies, and realized in solid wood, such as ‘Canaletto walnut’ which is ideal for sound reproduction. A unique, handcrafted creation that have been professionally cut, sanded and varnished can only transpire from the able hands of woodworking experts, who have drawn their wisdom from Italian cabinetmaking tradition.

High quality components, make Adamantes V a true sound reproduction instrument, faithful to Diapason’s studio monitor heritage. A 170 mm mid-woofer developed in conjunction with the Norwegian SEAS, according to our strict specifications, combined with a customized 19 mm sonomex soft dome wide surround tweeter, enable a rich, detailed and articulated music reproduction.

DEDICATED STAND
The 2/A stand, available in solid ‘Canaletto walnut’ or black painted HDF, combined with a finely brushed silver anodized aluminum base, measuring 75 cm in height, has been designed for the ideal positioning of Adamantes V Monitor.
