Video Series
The Video Series is a range from Diapason designed to satisfy the growing demand for multimedia applications. The 3 new loudspeakers were developed from the experience gained from our high quality audio series, and are designed for use in Home Theater and computer systems: Prelude VS, Micra VS and a central-channel Centro VS.
All loudspeakers in the Video Series are fitted with fully shielded drive units to allow their use close to a TV screen or monitor.
The Video Series range is aimed at the discerning buyer who demands a highly realistic acoustic performance without losing any of the refinement ot naturalness of sound which is the hallmark of the Diapason range of loudspeakers.
The appearance of the Video Series loudspeakers was created with the help of design stylists, and represents the latest tendency in Italian furniture and interior fashion design. The cabinets are constructed in very dense composite which is free of resonance and handbuilt by expert craftsmen.
The finish is available in a choice of 5 different scratch resistant paint colours,Drivers are built exclusively for Diapason to our own precise specification. The crossover circuits are hard wired with Van den Hul CS cable in oxygen-free silver coated copper, eliminating deleterious sonic effects of printed-circuit boards.
In more than ten years of experience in loudspeaker design, Diapason has perfected the new Diapason Direct Drive technology, which allows direct connection from the amplifier to the bass drive unit without the use of a low-pass filter in the crossover.
The result of this new system can be heard immediately when listening: greater transient speed in the low frequency range with no loss of sensitivity or phase rotation.
The new protective grille is made from special acoustically inert materials, and is designed not to affect either the dispersion or the acoustic response of the loudspeaker. The innovative design of the new metal grille contributes to the attractive appearance of the loudspeaker while allowing the drive units to be seen.
A unique method of fixing the grille and the special lacquer eliminate any possibility of resonance.

As well as the classic version in black, other colours available are ivory, blue, scarlet and salmon pink.
All crossover components and all drive units are individually tested and matched to within a tolerance of less than 1% in order to guarantee a correct stereo reproduction.
