REFERENCE SERIES is a range of loudspeakers which is revolutionary in terms of its design philosophy. The series has been created to satisfy the increasing need for loudspeakers suitable for use with the new multi-channel sound systems.
The three models of the REFERENCE SERIES adhere to the specifications of the new digital standards and all adopt similar design solutions aimed at providing a uniform frequency response from signals originating from a number of different points. To that end the cabinets of ADAMANTES III, KARIS and KENTRON are hand-built from staves of solid walnut, using a polyhedric diamond form of construction which gives excellent acoustic dispersion. Moreover, all three models use the new Diapason Direct Drive technology which allows the amplifier to be connected directly to the bass unit thereby eliminating any crossover-related loss or interference. The same treble unit is fitted to all models.
The drivers, built exclusively for Diapason to our own precise specifications, are run-in and performance-matched for best acoustic performance of the loudspeakers. The REFERENCE SERIES loudspeakers are extremely versatile in both their use and positioning within the room, for use in normal stereo configuration or any multi-channel system.
